Maconaquah High School

Welcome to the 2023-2024 academic year. We are excited about what this year has in store! 

I am honored to serve our students, teachers, and school community as Principal. Our team will do our very best each day to maintain open lines of communication, develop engaging lessons, and inspire each student to exceed their potential. A good school provides for the academic needs of all students. A great school is safe. A great school is supportive of the social and emotional needs of its students and faculty. A great school is a place where students support one another in the learning process. A great school is a place where the culture does not allow for anyone to pass judgment on another for their differences, nor does it allow for anyone to hinder the learning process of others in any way.  A great school is a place where each student understands his or her responsibility to set a positive example for their peers. Finally, a great school is a place where students’ focus and energy are situated upon becoming adults who contribute to our world in positive and impactful ways. Maconaquah High School is a great school.

I look forward to leading and supporting our staff and students as we return to school this year! This year our expectations for our students will be elevated in many ways. We are confident that our students are up to the challenge and I am confident that our staff of professional educators will help them exceed those expectations in every way. There are five guiding principles by which my family operates. My own children can recite these principles verbatim and even at the ages of 5 and 7 years old, they do their best to follow these principles every day.  In our building, we will expect our students to follow these principles because we will care for your sons and daughters as if they are our own. We will be respectful of everyone. We will be kind to everyone. We will show love and support for everyone. We will set an example for our peers. We will always do our best. Our high school family is about to embark on a new journey together. We are confident that we have an amazing year ahead of us. We know that our students, parents, and community members will join us in making the 2023-2024 school year the best year in recent memory.
